This is Yaya Toure’s last season at Manchester City, according to the midfielder’s agent

The last time Yaya Toure played in a Pep Guardiola team, he saw his creativity stifled by being deployed as a holding midfielder or occasionally at centre-back.

So the Ivorian might just be the only person associated with Manchester City who wasn’t overjoyed by the announcement that Guardiola will move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Toure’s contract expires at the end of next season, but outspoken agent Dmitry Seluk expects the 32-year-old to move on before then – hopefully with a few more trophies in tow.

“I think Yaya will leave the club. But before leaving I hope he will win again the League and all the cups,” Seluk told The Sun.

“Yaya won every trophy in England without Guardiola. Will Guardiola win without Yaya?” he added.

Toure joined City in 2010 after back-to-back Spanish titles under the former Barcelona boss, before adding multiple domestic honours in England.

The club is still fighting on four fronts, sitting three points off the top of the Premier League table, and outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini will have his next chance of a trophy in March’s Capital One Cup Final.
