This is just uncalled for.
Along with non-celebration celebrations, player’s rolling around feigning injury and a distinct lack of black boots, the half and half scarf is possibly the greatest scourge on modern football.
So much so, a pub in Manchester even banned the item.

While we can understand purchasing a half and half scarf if you’re under 10, and attending a football match for the first time, there’s no excuse for an adult wearing the item.
Particularly not a crucial Premier League fixture.
Twitter user Marc Duffy spotted over a dozen Manchester City fans wearing the heinous half and half scarf at tonight’s game against Arsenal at the Emirates.
We can only assume the retailer was doing a ‘buy one half and half scarf and get 15 free’ deal, or the fans are wearing them ironically/for a bet.
