Brendan Rodgers has made his first UK media appearance since being sacked by Liverpool back in October.
The Northern Irishman was on Sky Sports show Goals on Sunday, and spoke on a range of topics.
From his pride in managing Liverpool – “Liverpool is one of the great institutions of the world”.
To the prospect of him managing abroad – “It’s something I would consider. I’ve had a few offers since I’ve been out, to go abroad and also at home.”
To his surprise at Gary Neville becoming head coach at Valencia – “I was surprised but he has been so brave in doing in it. To jump straight out of the studio, and I know he works with England, but being the No.1 is totally different. Fair play to him to go over to another country where communication isn’t easy.”
There was no mention of “character”, but Rodgers was very diplomatic through his appearance. However, the reaction on Twitter was mixed.
Some were impressed with Rodgers dignified manner.

Brendan Rodgers is a good man & a talented manager. Didn't work out for him at #LFC in the end but some abuse aimed his way was disgusting.

Brendan Rodgers think Simon Mignolet is a great keeper. It's judgements like this that got him the sack.
