The FAI told us, so it must be true, that today was to be the day that UEFA would start letting fans know whether they had been successful or not in their pursuit of Euro 2016 tickets.
Heck, even we fell for it.
As of now we have checked our bank balance, at least 18 times at a conservative estimate, but as of yet, well, there's no sign of any money going anywhere next or near a rich UEFA pocket.
It seems we’re not the only ones, as various Irish fans, and those from many other countries, are very very frustrated with today’s long delays.

The stress brought back some painful memories for some Irish fans.

Others could see the irony is hoping money was going out of an account for once.

Others turned to the power of prayer.

And the fear crept in for some.

While we were hoping some ‘gentle persuasion’ may be the best option.

And others made a bloody good point
