The Twitter reaction to Aston Villa scoring not one but two goals was bloody hilarious

Pigs are flying today

Conan Doherty

Bournemouth have no longer scored more goals in Birmingham this season than Aston Villa have. Fact.

They’ve scored the same amount.

Paul Lambert’s men rectified that frightening statistic – almost – today with a precious 2-1 FA Cup win over The Championship leaders.

Now, Villa have scored nine goals in 13 games in Birmingham this season. Bourmeouth have score nine goals in two. Rest easy, lads.

The Holte End have waited and waited to be entertained this year and, by God, Carles Gil has introduced himself in quite spectacular fashion to Villa Park when he picked out the most glorious of top-corner strikes in the second half on his full debut for the club. Weimann’s goal towards the same end was only spoiling the home faithful as Villa advanced to the FA Cup 5th round on the same day Fabian Delph signed a new contract.

But they managed not one but two goals today for the first time since 1901 (roughly) and Twitter got creative, yet again.
