Bet big, win big. Bet small, well, win f**k all.
That, generally speaking, is the punters code when it comes to spilling your hard earned cash on outrageous bets.
Over the last few months, we have brought you several stories of Leicester fans cashing in on the club’s unexpected midway through the season having gotten the club at massive odds to lead or win the Premier League back in August.
No-one could honestly have thought the Foxes would be where they sit right now, three points from a maiden Premier League victory.
But they are and many, many fans have already cashed out to make a pretty penny.
However, one punter chickened out of backing the club for league glory just one game into the season according to the Press Association this afternoon.
The unlucky Ladbrokes customer backed the club at odds of 5,000/1 to win the title, and decided 50p would be a princely sum to lay on Claudio Ranieri’s team.
It was a low-risk strategy but with a possible high-end payout; it just made proper betting sense
If he had stuck with the bet he could now be eyeing up a £2,500 pay out, but unfortunately, he got cold feet after day one of the season, and Leicester’s 4-2 win against Sunderland and cashed out, to the tune of, wait for it, 95p
Punter "worst cash out in history". Put 50p on @LCFC (5,000-1) start of season, cashed out 95p after 1st game v @SunderlandAFC. On @PA wire.

We hope he spent his winning wisely, on a Magnum or at least something tasty that is worth much less than the possible £2.5k he or she was in for.
Ladbrokes claim the highest pay-out in England so far is around £72,000 from a £50 bet last month.
