Erik ten Hag will hope to silence the critics

Erik ten Hag has come under heavy criticism this past week after being held to a draw last weekend by Crystal Palace before letting a 1-0 lead get away from them against FC Twente in the Europa League midweek.

The Dutchman criticised the mentality of his players as they were held to a 1-1 draw but it is he who is taking the blame from pundits and fans alike as they failed to control the game.

The last time these two sides met, it ended all square at 2-2 and the two sides are closely matched in the league so far; Spurs sit just above United in 10th with seven points each.

Postecoglou looks set to be without Richarlison and new signing Wilson Odobert as they continue to recover from muscle injuries.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag is still without four of his defenders with Luke Shaw not expected to return until next weekend’s match against Aston Villa.

Kick off is at 4.30pm.
