The Football Spin on Solskjaer’s real magic and the Liverpoolification of United

SportsJOE

Olé’s at the wheel. Tell me how… how does it feel?

Solskjaer might’ve worried on the way home from Paris on Thursday when he looked at the fixture list and saw Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, but the realisation that it was an away fixture would’ve quickly eased that anxiety.

It’s nine in a row now on the road for the Manchester United caretaker manager who doesn’t know anything else but winning away from home. He’s already broken his own club record with a monumental comeback against PSG which broke a Champions League record of a team who have gone through the knockout stages with the biggest deficit after the first leg at home.

This is what Solskjaer does but is it not what United should always have been doing? Even if Mourinho – and a man like… Roy Hodgson – couldn’t see any way of doing just that with the club with the third highest wage bill in Europe.

In the latest episode of The Football Spin, Dion Fanning, Nooruddean Choudry and Paddy McKenna dissected and debated the magic of the Norwegian and how he has helped contribute to the “Liverpoolification” of Old Trafford.

In a look ahead to the weekend’s Premier League action, there’s a chance there for Arsenal and another expected bout of tension for Liverpool’s title chase.
