Remember where you were when Ben Woodburn broke Michael Owen’s record to become the youngest ever goalscorer for Liverpool’s first team.
The highly-rated Welsh teenager lashed home the Reds’ second goal in their EFL Cup quarter-final against Leeds United just 15 minutes after coming off the bench for Kevin Stewart.
Woodburn, who is still just 17 years old, made his Liverpool debut as a late substitute in Saturday’s victory over Sunderland and beat Leeds goalkeeper Marco Silvestri just five minutes after Divock Origi’s opener at Anfield.

In case you were wondering, Michael Owen was 17 years and 143 days old when he scored for Liverpool against Wimbledon in 1997.
Woodburn is 17 years and 45 days old today – and wasn’t even born when Owen found the net at Selhurst Park.
But will the Welshman score more than 100 Premier League goals for the club, just like his predecessor? Some seem confident enough.
