Jose Mourinho’s Christmas has just gone and freed itself up.
The Portuguese is now a twice former Chelsea manager after it was confirmed that the ex-Real Madrid man is unemployed after being sacked from the Premier League champions this afternoon.
The classic ‘mutual consent ‘ line was used in the official statement, and not even the the most loyal Chelsea fan would deny that it hasn’t been coming.
We have to admit we’ll miss Jose and the reaction online ranged from shock, to glee, to disappointment.

So it's actually happened…
Jose Mourinho has been fired by Chelsea. Can't say his results don't deserve it, still a shock though.

There was a little bit of trolling

Even royalty were having a go:
Cheerio, Jose Mourinho. First season, buy the bus. Second season, park the bus. Third season, throw the players under the bus. #TheSackedOne

Some people spotted a pattern
PL Manager of Year 2014 – Brendan Rodgers. PL Manager of Year 2015 – Jose Mourinho. Both gone by Christmas 2015.

It was really bad timing for others as Jose was due to feature on a TV show tonight on BT
Oh what brilliant timing…. And there I was joking this morning that all I needed was for him not to be sacked today!#JoseMourinho

And well Piers Morgan just can’t let it go

Wenger hasn't won Premier League for 11yrs – UNSACKABLE.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 17, 2015
