Amazing run that’ll reinvigorate Adnan Januzaj and Manchester United’s team of youngsters is incredible

Conan Doherty

He’s got talent. He’s got pace and adventure. He’s got a future.

Adnan Januzaj was on the brink there for a while but it seems like his loan move to Sunderland could be the best thing that ever happened to him.

The 21-year-old has suddenly gone from a bit-part player, he’s transformed from a Dortmund disappointment, and now he’s the main man in what will surely be another battle for the Black Cats to stay afloat in the Premier League.

If they’re going to perform this season, Januzaj will have to perform and that will be the making of him.

During their 1-1 draw against Southampton at the weekend, the Belgian showed glimpses of what United fans know he can be it is bloody exciting.

He lines up the full back.

1

He steps inside him like he’s not even there.

2

The next challenge arrives and he does a Ronaldinho to get away.

3

4

At this stage, there’s literally a circle of Southampton players around him.

5

So one man is deployed to approach with caution.

6

Januzaj is too quick in the head and feet.

7

So another attempted foul comes from behind him.

8

He gets away and takes the defender’s space but now he’s closed in with four bodies around him.

9

So he flicks it back inside.

10

Eventually, they manage to get him down.

11

The future’s bright for Januzaj. It’s brighter for United who are boasting some of the most exciting young talents on their books. Alright, it’d make a ridiculously attacking 11 but it’d still make a good one.
