Well that would certainly be a big change.
Leaked images of Manchester United’s next away shirt suggest that the club is set to go in a new direction entirely with the colour scheme.
Reliable football strip website FootyHeadlines.com claim that United will release a pink away shirt for the 2018/19 season and it will the first time in the club’s history that a pink jersey will be worn by the Red Devils.
The report claims that “the new Manchester United 18-19 away kit will combine a pale pink base with a slightly less pale shade of the color and, finally, black for accents.”
Peter Schmeichel wore a pink and purple jersey during the 1996/97 season but the curious colour has never been sported by outfield United players however there is a first time for everything.
Apparently, the switch from the current black away strip to the a light pink will represent a nod to the old football results section of the city’s newspaper, Manchester Evening News.

It should be noted that while FootyHeadlines are often on the money, there is no confirmation that United will indeed go through with the bold change.
The all black number which United currently wear on away days is supposedly one of the most popular kits among fans in the club’s history, according to United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.
Woodward recently said: “The current black away kit represents the fastest-selling away kit Manchester United has ever released, while the limited edition 92 Adidas originals trainer generated huge demand and overnight queues for the product.”
One thing is for damn certain, there’s no chance United will be keeping that black jersey a second longer than the 2017/18 campaign.
