Imagine going to live in a foreign country and having to get up to speed with the language and culture almost immediately.
If you’ve spent your entire professional career in the country in which you grew up, the chances are your spelling and grammar won’t be 100% spot on in a manner of months.
But that didn’t stop one Newcastle fan having a go at Sunderland defender Lamine Koné for not getting a tweet grammatically correct.

Now, we were going to suggest plenty of people from these shores might struggle to use perfect grammar when tweeting in French.
Then we realised there are plenty who struggle when tweeting in English.
That makes us think the criticism from Tony Foster was uncalled for.
Thankfully Paris-born Côte d’Ivoire international Koné didn’t seem at all fazed by the criticism and quickly put Newcastle fan Foster in his place.
We imagine fans will think twice about taking the piss next time. Seems he takes no prisoners on or off the pitch.
