Stoke City have been knocked back in their surprise late pursuit of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi.
The Potteries club reportedly made a club record bid for the Belgian international, thought to be in the region of £20million.
Batshuayi has been on the radar of both Arsenal and West Ham United after scoring 15 goals in 30 games this season and finding the net on both of his international appearances.

Stoke are thought to have now turned their attentions to Saido Berahino, though they face competiton from Newcastle United for the out-of-favour West Brom striker.
Berahino, like Batshuayi, is likely to set the club back considerably more than the £12m they paid for record signing Xherdan Shaqiri.
