This is just bizarre.
Xavi ended his Barcelona career on a pretty high note. Lift the Champions League trophy to complete a historic teble isn’t a bad way to bow out.
He only had a 10 minute cameo in Saturday night’s 3-1 win over Juventus, but it was perhaps the most un-Xavi-like 10 minutes of his storied career.
The midfielder maestro has made a career out of his stellar ability to find a pass. In fact, he finished up his Catalan career with an incredible pass completion rate of 93%.
Despite his reputation as pass master, Xavi failed to record a single pass in his brief appearance in the Champions League final. That’s right, zilch. He didn’t record one pass on the night.

That’s not the Xavi we all know and love.
Although, I doubt he’s too bothered over his lack of involvement in the match. He’s had plenty of contributions to the La Liga giants during his 24 year association with the club.
