Sorry Zlatan.
Gracenote, a sports data company, have released their predictions for Euro 2016, and the Republic of Ireland are tipped to make it past the group stages.
Martin O’Neill’s side have been given a tough draw, alongside Sweden, Belgium and Italy in Group E, and bookmakers consider Ireland underdogs in each of their games.
However, according to Gracenote, Ireland have a 64% chance of progressing to the knock-out rounds, behind Italy’s 67% chance and Belgium with an 85% chance, but crucially, the data company claims Sweden will be eliminated, giving them just a 53% chance of progression.
Ireland’s campaign will then come to an end against Spain in the last-16, but the primary objective of advancing from the group will be achieved by O’Neill’s side, according to the data.
Gracenote predict hosts France will win the tournament, against Spain in the final, after seeing off Germany in the semi-finals. England look set for a good tournament, with Roy Hodgson’s side predicted to make it to the last four.
But Wales and Northern Ireland are tipped to exit in the group stages, as Gracenote gives them just a 36% and 34% chance of progression respectively.
Scotland have a zero percent chance of progression from the group stages, as they didn’t qualify.
Here’s how Gracenote predict the tournament will play out:
