This would be a shock.
What isn’t surprising is a player from South America not being a fan of English weather or cuisine. Spanish newspaper Marca have reported today that Diego Costa wants to return to Atletico Madrid, as he has failed to settle into living in London, and he’s even willing to take a pay cut to make it happen.
The Chelsea striker cost £32 million from Atletico and had a prolific first season in England, scoring 20 goals in 26 league games as Jose Mourinho’s side won the Premier League and League Cup. Costa was also named in the division’s team of the season.
Marca say the player wants out, but whether Mourinho will sanction such a move is seemingly unlikely.

Costa happy with Chelsea, gets on with Mourinho, but doesn't like living in London apparently. Misses Madrid weather and food.

Costa knows he'd have to take a pay cut to get a return to Atletico but Marca say Chelsea are very unlikely to sell.
