Son Heung-min may be feeling a bit worse for wear on Thursday morning.
Andrea Barzagli can count his blessings that he wasn’t shown a red card for his ‘tackle’ on Son Heung-min on Wednesday night.
Fans were left disgusted with the clash between the two players during Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League clash against Juventus.
Both men went up for the header, but Son fell down to the ground. The Italian kept his footing, but the only problem was the placement of his feet.
Immediately after putting all his weight on Son’s calf, Barzagli changed position and went for another blatant stamp. Understandably, Son wasn’t a happy man and lashed out at the offender. He was also lucky to avoid being sent off as he aimed a nasty kick towards the Italian.
Barzagli pretended to give a half-hearted apology. He looked down and held his hands up as if he were attempting to give an apology or plead innocence. Instead of doing any of that, he seized his opportunity to land another outrageous dig.
Barzagli stamps on Son twice (one may have been unintentional) and then Son kicks out at him so he kicks back, no cards for either. pic.twitter.com/f3qqqZiwtq
