Being forced to train on his own was one thing, but now the Spaniard has suffered the ultimate indignity – exclusion from the official Manchester United team photo.
Fans will be pleased to see Luke Shaw in the photo though.
The full-back is pictured standing in the middle row, though it is unclear whether the photo was taken before he suffered his double leg-break.
