Seven one-touch passes in seven seconds = most delicious Tiki-taka team goal you’ll see this year

Amazing

Conan Doherty

We’re sending our kids to Argentina.

And they’re learning the Banfield way.

Because if this is the sort of football they teach their children, we don’t want to know anything else.

Giovanni Simeone – Diego’s son – scored what was the decisive goal in a 2-1 win over Crucero del Norte at the weekend and, by God, it was worthy of giving them the whole Primera title.

The team put together nine cutting passes – seven of which were first touch – before Simeone ran onto the ball and, in keeping with the gorgeous incisiveness of the rest of the move – took one touch to round the ‘keeper before slotting home.

This really is a beautiful goal.
