Striker Sean Maguire recently joined Preston North End from Cork City.
Preston North End striker Sean Maguire has been called up to the Ireland squad for the first time for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Serbia.
The 23-year-old joins a provisional squad of 40 for the trip to Georgia on 2 September and the visit of Serbia to the Aviva Stadium three days later.
The squad of 39 players also includes the likes of Brentford’s John Egan, Jonny Hayes of Celtic, Liam Kelly of Reading and Maguire’s clubmates Alan Browne and Daryl Horgan.
