Seamus Coleman went full Roberto Carlos with a stunning goal against Leeds that sealed a much needed win for Everton.

The Irishman picked the ball up on the right flank, almost kissing the end-line before volleying an absolute rocket from the tightest angle, straight into the inside of the side netting.

It was the kind of goal that any forward would be proud of, but the forwards haven’t been firing for the Toffees, so captain fantastic stepped up to the plate.

Sean Dyche will be delighted to get a vital three points on the board after a disappointing defeat to Liverpool last Monday in the Merseyside Derby.

Life under Dyche got off to a good start with a win over league leaders Arsenal two weeks ago, and now they have got six points from a possible nine.

If you’re going to win, then you may as well win in style, and the Donegal native made sure of that with this worldie of a finish.

Roberto Carlos scored a similar goal for Brazil, and made himself famous for these tight-angled lightening bolts, and the Ireland captain has obviously taken some inspiration.

Leeds on the other hand are in a dire situation, sitting deep in the relegation zone and dropping points against one of their nearest rivals.

They sacked their manager Jesse Marche a couple of weeks ago, and things haven’t gotten any better since.

Everton are now out of the danger zone, but if they are to avoid the drop this season they are going to need find more goals from somewhere, because they can’t expect a 34-year-old defender to get the winner every week.
