There wasn’t a football fan alive in this part of the world who didn’t wish Seamus Coleman a speedy recovery from that horror double leg break.
A fractured tibia and fibula take a long time to heal. It’s highly doubtful that anyone thought he would be bouncing back from that reckless Neil Taylor challenge quickly.
However, the endless slew of well-wishes when he needed them most of all is a true testament to the Killybegs man’s character. No one has a problem with him, everyone wants to see him come back stronger and these positive vibes being sent his way can only help him on the road to recovery.
This is pure class from the Everton team https://t.co/yas3TYJ1VA

The Everton man has not returned to England since suffering the injury, but his club boss Ronald Koeman recently visited him in Donegal as a show of support. As Koeman told the Liverpool Echo, the support the hurt player has been receiving can only have a positive effect.
“It was great to see Seamus, he deserved that support. We had a day off and I spoke to Phil (Jagielka) and he was involved in the group.”
“Seamus has had a lot of support from the fans and from the players and management. It was good to do that for the boy.”
He will need this positivity for the next stage of the process which he will begin upon returning to Goodison Park next week. Koeman believes he is in a very good place to start rehabilitation.
“He will come back in a week and will start to recover, he is that type of professional. Of course, it was a big disappointment for everybody but he’s put that away, is now strong and looking positive and ready to start again.”
All the best, Coleman. Like so many others, we wish you well.
