To make matters worse, his team was playing at home.
It is safe to say, Graeme Smith may be getting bawled out of it by his boss on Monday morning.
The Brechin City goalkeeper thought he was nice and earlier when he showed up, at 1pm, to Stenhousemuir for a 3pm kick-off.
Unfortunately for Smith, he had got his fixtures mixed up and was 83 miles in the wrong direction.

Smith had to horse it back to Glebe Park immediately.
An hour and 40 minutes later and he arrived, just in time for kick-off.
He took his place in the sticks but was unable to prevent a first-half goal from Stenhousemuir.
