Spell the end of the Keane/O'Neill era?

Please say it ain’t so.

Oh, how great the Keane/O’Neill era has been, whether it be qualifying for Euro 2016 or sitting tied for top going into the crucial September World Cup qualifiers.

The only thing about being successful is there is a catch 22 in all of it, success means a bigger job will come knocking.

Roy Keane has always been ambitious and there is little doubting that he’d like to be managing at the very top.

Well, reports are coming out from Israel that the former Manchester United captain is in the running to take the Israel job ahead of Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The 45-year-old is being considered by the Israel FA as a new possible head coach according to ONE, an Israeli media outlet, an interesting job prospect.

Keane signed a contract back in September that would bring him up until the end of the World Cup qualifying campaign
