‘Leaked’ pictures emerge of Cristiano Ronaldo Juventus jerseys

Another clue that a move is imminent?

It’s no great surprise to hear Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the brink of leaving Real Madrid

Speculation linking him with a move away from the Bernabeu has done the rounds pretty much every summer since he arrived there in 2009 and is almost always followed by some form of improved contract.

This time though, things feel different…

Talk of a move to Juventus simply isn’t going away. The latest reports claim Ronaldo has agreed terms on a £500,000-a-week deal with the Italian champions meaning all that remains is for Juve and Real to agree on a fee for the 33-year-old. Having reportedly lowered his buyout clause by €880m last week, it seems the European champions may be open to offers for their number seven.

With some reports claiming Real are hoping to replace the former Manchester United forward with Kylian Mbappe, Portuguese newspaper Record claim the deal could be wrapped up imminently.

Social media users have also been sharing what many seem to believe is another sign that Ronaldo could be Turin-bound. An image showing Ronaldo’s name and the number seven printed on the back of a couple of Juve shirts has been splashed high and wide across Twitter on Thursday.

Although it’s very possible the image is nothing more than a hoax, some have claimed it to have been taken at Juventus’ club store.

While the image may well probe to be fake, there’s undoutedly a growing sense that the move itself may be genuine.

Other reports have claimed Juve may need to sell some of their current stars if they’re to complete a deal for Ronaldo. Gonzalo Higuain, once his teammate at the Bernabeu, is thought to be one of those who could depart. Higuain’s countryman, Paulo Dybala, could also be moved on to help fund the deal.
