People shouldn’t be allowed to screw with your emotions during a game of Fifa, plain and simple.
Players are often at their most vulnerable during head-to-head games of the video game/way of life and Premier League superstars are no exception to that rule.
Everton striker Romelu Lukaku ran the gamut of emotions while on international duty with Belgium this week as he was forced through the wringer by the world’s greatest Fifa player, Koen Weijland.
Lukaku, an avid player, thought he was up against Belgium Women’s forward Cécile De Gernier and expected to romp to victory in front of his teammates.
It all started so well for the 23-year-old, who has been linked with a return to Chelsea this week, as he opened the scoring and breathed a sigh of relief.
But then it all went up shit creek.
Weijland kicked into action and made Lukaku look a rank amateur with the controller in his hands, eventually beating the Toffees star 3-1.
It’s great to see that Lukaku, a millionaire, gets just as wound up when playing Fifa as we all do.
