VIDEO: Claudio Ranieri’s fellow Romans struggle to pronounce Leicester City

Maybe after lunch with his mother, Claudio Ranieri could hold a couple of language classes.

The Leicester City manager, because of a meeting with his mother, will miss tonight’s pivotal match between Chelsea and Tottenham, which will see his side crowned Premier League champions if Spurs don’t take all three points.

The Italian’s amazing job with the unfancied Foxes have been front page news in Italy this season but, with Leicester within touching distance of the title, Italians are still struggling to get their tongues around the pronunciation of the little known city in the English East Midlands.

Repubblica asked Romans to say the name of Ranieri’s team and some of the efforts are interesting.
