There are only so many boring tweets one man can read before he’s, well, bored.
A year and a day after leaving his last managerial job, Roddy Collins is officially back in the game, after taking the reigns at First Division Waterford United.
The Dubliner takes over from previous manager Tommy Griffin, who has been appointed Head of Football Operations at the club.
Waterford have had a disastrous start to their First Division campaign, picking up just one win in their first 10 games, and are bottom of the table.

His first game in charge will be this Friday night, where they face second from bottom Cabinteely, and the 53-year-old says he’s more than ready to take on the south Dublin side.
“I just want to get to know the squad and get ready for Friday night. I’ve got some work done on Cabinteely and that’s where my focus straight away will be. Once the players give their all on the pitch and in training, that’s all I ask.
“When I met with the club, what swayed me to come here was the guys who I spoke with. They love the club and their professional approach was undoubted and I like that style.”
Collins was sacked by Derry just over a year ago after a poor start to the season, and has also previously managed Athlone Town, Monaghan United, Cork City, Shamrock Rovers, Carlisle United and Bohemians.
