Woo! Robbie Keane has been named the Major League Soccer’s Most Valuable Player
Keane was in lethal form for LA Galaxy this season, notching up 19 goals and 14 assists guiding them to the Western Conference championship. The LA captain set career MLS highs in goals and assists to become the first Galaxy player to claim the award since Landon Donovan in 2009.
The Irish stalwart edged New England’s Lee Nguyen and Seattle’s Obafemi Martins to take home the accolade. Nguyen topped the charts for the Revolution with 18 goals, while Martins finished up with 17 goals and 13 assists.
Congrats to Ireland captain Robbie Keane on being named @MLS MVP (The League's Player of the Year). The first European winner of the prize!

There is little time for Keane to celebrate as he must now focus his gaze on Sunday’s MLS Cup final against the New England Revolution.
