Bad news for Steve Bruce and Martin O’Neill
It has been a while but international football is on its way back. At the end of this month, March 29 to be precise, Ireland will play Poland in a Euro 2016 qualifier but it appears that Robbie Brady will not be able to join up with the squad after a freak accident at Hull training.
Steve Bruce told the press that Brady will be out for weeks, and possibly for the remainder of the season, after falling down a hole. Yes really.
“Unfortunately Brady has fallen down a hole in the training ground and it looks an awful injury, I have to say.
“We won’t know the extent of it until he has had scans. After seeing him on Friday I doubt he will be available for weeks. It could be the rest of the season.”
The winger injured his calf in the incident and if he is gone for the rest of the season it is a blow to Hull and a massive loss to Ireland as they try to get their Euro 2016 campaign back on track after defeat to Scoland in November.
