Mahrez was a key component in Leicester’s title-winning side last season, scoring 17 goals and assisting 11 others in his 37 league games for the club during their historic run to become champions of England.
His performances led to speculation that he would make like N’Golo Kante and leave Claudio Ranieri and co, but just like Jamie Vardy he resisted the approaches of a certain team based in North London and remained.
Arsenal fans had spent the summer begging Arsene Wenger to make a move for the pacey Algerian, but as soon as the winger’s new deal with Leicester was announced, the tone started to shift among Arsenal fans as they began to deny they were ever in for him in the first place.
Mahrez signed a new contract I didn't want him anyway

Mahrez was shit anyway

While the rest of us are gushing over the 25-year-old’s skills, only Arsenal fans can peek through the facade and see Mahrez for what he truly is – a fraud.
Mahrez is a fraud anyway, step over merchant. Guarantee he will flop this season and get relegated with Leicester.

That’s because Mahrez is just a cheap imitation of [insert overhyped Arsenal player’s name here].

Walcott is better than Mahrez so I am not worried at all, I trust in my manager, my hero, my inspiration, my Arsene Wenger

For others, it saved them an unnecessary selection headache.
I already had three Arsenal players on my fantasy team anyway. Wouldn't have been able to fix Mahrez in.
