Glad to see that it is all working out for him.
It just hasn’t got going for Richie Towell over in England.
After lighting it up for Dundalk in the League of Ireland the 26-year-old moved to Brighton in 2015 but things haven’t gone as planned.
Since his move, Brighton have had nothing but success and are now plying their trade in the Premier League after gaining promotion last season, it has been a bit of a fairytale really but between injury and competition the Dubliner has found it difficult to get going.
Admirably Towell has decided to drop to League One to secure guaranteed playing time and is now with Rotherham and has settled in nicely.
Drawing 2-2 against Bury there wasn’t much time left on the clock only for the former Dundalk star to pop up and score the winner.

And on his home debut too, safe to say that everyone was delighted.
Good man Richie @DundalkFC
