Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he likes the current slew of transfer stories. He may have to put up with them throughout Euro 2016.
The Swedish striker is set to join Manchester United on a one-year deal, with the option of a further year should both parties agree, but there is a reason why nothing official has been announced.
Ibrahimovic remains contracted with Paris Saint Germain until June 30 and will not officially leave the club until then.
Should the 34-year-old not sign with another club over the next 22 days, he will receive a loyalty bonus from PSG. The figure he stands to make is said to be €2m.
According to The Independent, Mino Raiola, the striker’s agent, is also in line for a bonus payment once Ibrahimovic is still a PSG player on the morning of June 30.

That means Ibrahimovic will be listed as a PSG player throughout Euro 2016 despite the fact that he will never play for the French club again. The Swede comes up against Ireland on June 13.
Barring the usual, risky gamut of tournament football, United could announce the transfer while Ibrahimovic is preparing for a quarter final with Sweden. Those fixtures will be held from June 30 to July 3.
If Ibrahimovic, who has previously played under United boss Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan, comes through unscathed his expected pay for any Premier League move could be as high as £250,000 per week.
