Manchester United have reportedly made a sensational attempt to swoop for Raheem Sterling.
The Liverpool winger is set to sit down with the Liverpool big wigs this week to discuss his future after he informed Brendan Rodgers he wanted to leave the club this summer.
If he doesn’t reach an agreement with the Reds, Old Trafford may be where he ends up as United have apparently launched a bid to sign the winger.
Despite having already completed a £25m transfer for highly-touted Dutch winger Memphis Depay this week, United have inquired about Sterling’s availability.
Liverpool informed United that Sterling is not for sale at any price, although that may change if their meetings with the player don’t run as smoothly as they hope.
Sterling’s current deal at Anfield doesn’t run out until 2017 and after already rejecting a six-figure a week contract offer from the club, his departure seems imminent. Man City are also said to be interested in the youngster.
