Manchester United are desperately trying to snap up Thomas Muller, according to reports in Germany.
German newspaper Bild is running a story on Wednesday which claims that United have put in a whopping €85 million offer for the Bayern Munich star.
The cynics will say that that with that much money being reported, the offer is unlikely to be true. However, it must be noted that Bild were the same newspaper that broke the news that the Red Devils had snapped up Bastian Schweinsteiger. They have a pretty good track record when it comes to these things.
It’s also important to know that Muller has worked with Louis van Gaal before, when the Dutch man was in charge of Bayern Munich.
These reports will only ensure that United fans will all be having one of those excitement-filled restless nights like a child has on Christmas Eve.
