More fuel to the fire.
Jose Mourinho is working harder on Manchester United’s transfer policy than Ed Woodward,at least if you read everything into anything he does.
The former Inter Milan manager is understood to be heading back to his ex-club over the weekend to see Roberto Mancini’s side face Sampdoria at the San Siro.
And one Italian newspaper understands both men have already been in contact over a possible summer time swap deal that could kick-start Mourinho’s spending spree in his reported new job.
The Portuguese is not heading to Italy to watch a game of mere football of course, and Corriere Dello Sport understands that Mourinho wants Inter’s captain Mauro Icardi to be his first major signing at Old Trafford.
However any deal could be dependent on Roberto Mancini getting full-back Matteo Darmian in exchange.
Mourinho is going to be joined in the stands at the stadium by Brazilian legend Ronaldo and is likely to be the focus of lots of media attention on Saturday night.
