While it may seem like a hefty penalty, odds are it won’t force Di Maria to cancel his Netflix account or anything drastic like that.

It looks like Angel Di Maria is going to have to pay the price for missing Manchester United’s pre-season tour of USA, literally.

After receiving an extended holiday after participating in the Copa America, Di Maria failed to rejoin the squad for the US. United boss Louis van Gaal even admitted that he had absolutely no idea of Di Maria’s location.

Several reports from England are claiming that Di Maria will be fined a whopping £360,000 (€509,000 approx.) for skipping the tour. It may seem like a huge amount of money, but it represents just two weeks wages for the striker.

After being strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and PSG said to be interested, this could be the last we’ll see (or not see) of the most expensive transfer in British football history as a Red Devil.
