Jose Mourinho and Roberto Martinez were involved in a bust-up at Goodison Park at the weekend.
The Blues boss angrily confronted the Everton manager after his side slumped to a 3-1 defeat to the Toffees.
Mourinho was upset that Martinez broke the unwritten rule by doing his post-game interview first, which delayed Chelsea’s trip home. This resulted in an incensed Mourinho berating Martinez, while the Everton boss was talking to a group of journalists.
“Roberto, next time, tell [them to let] me go before you because we have to travel.”
Martínez attempted to defuse the situation by replying, “we don’t control that Jose, I don’t control that”.
However, that did nothing to placate the enraged manager, who yelled, “Fucking hell”, before walking away.
Without missing a beat, Martinez unloaded a very witty one-liner to the journalists.
“When he beat us 6-3 (last season) he was such a nice man. I prefer him like that!”
