Real Madrid to kick off David de Gea negotiations with insulting bid

Really taking the whizz here.

For Manchester United and David de Gea, here are the biggest pros and cons.

PRO: Best goalkeeper in the world. Coming off his best season. Real Madrid need him.

CON: Final year of his contract. Local boy. Wants to join Real.

Los Blancos have summed all that up and, according to The Daily Mail, will kicked off their bid to get de Gea in the door, this summer, with a bid of £13m.

It is a plainly insulting offer to the Premier League club and will hardly help negotiations for the Spanish goalkeeper.

Real must be confident of landing de Gea as the offer will hardly force United to shift him as soon as possible. Louis van Gaal’s side are resigned to losing their No.1 but seeking at least £25m.

Van Gaal, meanwhile, is mulling over signing Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, who was his starter during the 2014 World Cup. He would coast United somewhere in the region of £22-25m.
