Spurs are understandably reluctant to let him go.
Real Madrid are preparing a world record £200m bid for Harry Kane, according to The Times.
Madrid have uncharacteristically struggled in front of goal this season – five clubs in La Liga have scored more league goals than Zidane’s side – and Los Blancos are expected to try and sign Harry Kane in the summer to solve the issue.
Tottenham are expected to resist any attempt from Real Madrid, but if their star striker were to leave, they would expect a fee in excess of the £198m Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar last summer.
Kane is currently earning £120,000 according to The Times’ report and is contracted at Spurs until 2022. Daniel Levy is determined to keep him and manager Mauricio Pochettino at the club by tying them down to new contracts while they move into their new stadium, hoping that Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, and Toby Alderweireld follow suit.

At the start of this window, Mauricio Pochettino insisted Kane is not for sale at any price “because we want him here.” However, should Real Madrid come in and bid a world record fee, offering Kane a substantial wage increase, it might be harder than they think to keep him.
As Cristiano Ronaldo’s barren spell continues, the Champions League holders might be tempted to add Kane and at just 24 years old, the Spurs man would be a shrewd long-term investment.
This being said, will be harder to lure Kane away from Spurs than it was when Madrid signed Luka Modrić and Gareth Bale, though. Kane has spoken in the past about his motivations, explaining how “some people are motivated by money, I’m not one of them.”
