Real Madrid have reportedly named their price for Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo could be on the move

Cristiano Ronaldo could be on the move this summer.

Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave Real Madrid, and his decision is said to be “irreversible.”

On Friday morning, a report in A Bola, a Portuguese newspaper, claimed Ronaldo wants to leave the La Liga side, just a few weeks after he scored twice in the Champions League final.

The 32-year-old former Manchester United forward had looked set to remain at the club for the remainder of his career. However, Ronaldo has been accused by Spanish prosecutors of “defrauding the authorities of millions of euros in tax”, and this hasn’t gone down well.

Ronaldo is said to be “very sad and really upset” at the accusation.

The four-time Ballon d’Or winner, who is currently with the Portugal national team in Russia at the Confederations Cup, only signed a five-year contract with Madrid last November. And considering his buy-out clause €1 billion, it might take a lot to take him from Madrid.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, while the club understandably want to keep the player, they have set Ronaldo’s transfer fee at €180m (£157m).

The 32-year-old, who joined the club from United in 2009 for £80m, would therefore be beyond most clubs in the world.

According to the BBC’s sports editor Dan Roan, Paris Saint-Germain or a return to the Premier League would be Ronaldo’s most likely move if he was to leave Madrid.
