It hasn’t taken long for Real Madrid to move on from Rafael Benitez.
The Spaniard is expected to have his removal from the Bernabeu touchline confirmed at a press conference later today, following last night’s 2-2 draw with Gary Neville’s Valencia.
And it appears that the club are set to promote from within, with Real legend Zinedine Zidane, currently in charge of Madrid’s B team, Castilla, touted as the replacement, at least in the short term.
Marca and Cope radio both state that Rafa Benitez sacked this afternoon. And that Zidane will take over

UPDATE: Real Madrid have since confirmed that Benitez has been sacked and Zidane will be his replacement.
