What’s the frequency Kenneth?
Raul Meireles is missing Steven Gerrard’s charity match against a Jamie Carragher XI but the former Reds midfielder took time out to lend his support to the good cause.
Meireles was interviewed on LFCTV as part of the build-up for the fundraiser at Anfield, this afternoon.
His choice of attire was bafflingly haphazard.
Porkpie hat, medical gown/t-shirt, tattoo sleeves and a Rasputin beard. It is certainly one way to roll.
This afternoon will reveal whether either Carragher or Gerrard bothered picking up the phone to replace the ailing Meireles with keen-as-mustard Brazilian defender Fabio Aurelio.
As for the match itself, the team sheet was revealed shortly after 1:40pm and there was a couple of bombshells.
Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres start on the bench for the Gerrard XI. Scandaloso!
