Man City have just made Raheem Sterling the most expensive English player ever.
The club confirmed the singing of the 20-year-old from Liverpool today in a deal worth up to £49 million.
This sees the youngster overtake Andy Carroll, whoo Liverpool paid an astounding £35 million for in 2010, as the most expensive English footballer of all time.
The England international had been perpetually linked with a move to the Etihad Arena after falling out with Brrendan Rodgers over contract negotiations. He has signed a five-year deal at City and is set to join up with the squad on their pre-season tour of Australia in the next 24 hours.
