Maybe Raheem should be assigned to the Gob Shut Group
Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling has revealed the existence of a ‘fat group’ at Anfield.
The England player gave yet another interview (those have been going so well lately) – this time about his diet – and probably assumed there was little he could say that could be held against him.
‘After training I have lunch in the canteen with the team,’ Sterling said. ‘My favourite is mac and cheese with Caesar salad. I’m not in the fat group, so I can eat what I want, but I always choose vegetables and fruit.’
Listen, it’s not the worst thing a footballer, or Sterling himself, has said, as player-specific diets are common place at highest level of sport but those at the club, and particularly those under the supervision of the nutritionists, are probably not too happy with the young man’s continued frankness with the press.
It does make us wonder which Reds are banned from the buffet line, though…
