How do you buy a ticket for the managerial merry-go round
It’s been a day of various denials and confirmation for fans of Newcastle,Crystal Palace and West Brom.
Tony Pulis has confirmed that he is in talks with the Baggies to take over at the club following the sacking last night of Alan Irvine.
The former Stoke boss has been out of football since his departure from Crystal Palace last season.
A major stumbling block could be the issue of who controls transfers so it may not be quite a done deal yet:
West Brom in talks with Tony Pulis to succeed Irvine. Made contact late last night. Pulis keen but only if given control over transfers #wba

Somewhat weirdly Tim Sherwood is also being linked to the job. They must be big fans of gilets at the Hawthorns.
Meanwhile Mike Ashley might be thinking twice about promoting Fabrico Colocinni after Jamie Carragher’s guffaw last night at the prospect of the ‘Sideshow Bob’ lookalike taking over at St James’ Park.
He was an early bookies favourite but now Steve Bruce is also one of the front runners. Not sure how that will go down with the the anti-Sunderland bridgade in the North East but as of now he’s sticking with Hull:
Hull City manager Steve Bruce isn't going anywhere, that's what I've been told by one City source this morning. Good to hear. #hcafc

And Crystal Palace looked nailed on to have got their man as Alan Pardew nears a return to his former club.
The only question remaining is why.
Maybe he wants to bring his happy-go lucky attitude that he showed with the Magpies to the Premier League struggler’s:
