Locals are not happy with Danny Simpson rocking up to a charity shop in a £200,000 Lamborghini to pay his debt to society.
The Leicester City defender has not only been turning heads for driving the extremely flashy car, but he has been annoying locals over his parking.
Simpson has been saving himself a few bob by leaving he car in a pub car park which is supposed to be “for customers only”, according to the Sun. Apparently, he opted to avoid paying the £3.50 to park in a council lot near the Age UK charity shop in Manchester by leaving it at the local pub.
One local resident said: “You’d think he might show a bit of humility – but instead he rolls up in one of the world’s most expensive cars. It’s no wonder Premier League footballers get such a bad name.”
One pub local said: “There is a pretty cheap council car park just another 100 yards away but we guess he couldn’t be bothered forking out a few quid to park there.”
Simpson denied any wrongdoing.
“I didn’t know I had to pay. I’ve got no comment…I thought it was free.”
The Leicester City player is currently serving 300 hours unpaid work and and has already paid £900 costs after being convicted of “throttling” his ex-girlfriend and mother to his three-year-old daughter Steph Ward.
