Massive rounds of Premier League action

Arsenal had the honour of going out early in the game-week and having the opportunity to stretch their league lead.

Luton put it up to them, at Kenilworth Road, but a Declan Rice winner in the 97th minute saw the Gunners win 4-3. Following the game, Mikel Arteta told the BBC:

“Incredible evening. First of all, congratulations to Luton, their players, staff, the atmosphere they created made it a special night to play football and they made it very hard for us. They are so good at set pieces and they made us really fight for the game and at the end it was a beautiful win.

“Credit to the opponent, they did really well and cause problems to any team. It’s something we have to improve, conceding three goals from home makes life difficult. The team showed spirit, quality, courage to go and go again. We never gave up and tried to the end.”

“Big credit to the team, the way they go every three days is remarkable,” Arteta added. “Luton have been really unlucky with their results, they are well organised and they are a threat.”
