We’re delighted to hear some good news on the Sebastatin Leto front today

Yesterday we brought you the worrying news about a freak injury suffered by former Liverpool player Sebastian Leto. The winger, who now plays for Catania, was on loan at a club in his homeland called Lanus and while at the gym a barbell struck him on the head.

Initially treated and sent home, Leto had to return to hospital after suffering headaches and there were fears that he had internal haemorrhaging.

Thankfully, there is good news on his outlook in the Argentine press.

Clarin, the biggest newspaper in the country, report that while the player remains in intensive car, his life is not in danger. They quote a doctor who says that the 28-year-old will need surgery and that he will be in recovery for between four to six months.

No date has been set yet for the operation to take place but it seems that Leto will be able to return to his playing career in due course.
